July 12, 2012, Calgary – Businesses on the main floor of a Calgary highrise apartment building have been ordered to leave immediately over safety concerns.
Parkade levels one, two and three at Rocky Mountain Court have also been deemed unsafe.
The city says the floor on the second parkade level was "compromised" during renovations.
No safety concerns have been identified for levels four and above.
The city says the order was issued as a precaution.
Two people were killed when part of the roof collapsed at a mall in Elliot Lake, Ont., last month.
