Man dies in PEI house fire

April 9, 2012, Charlottetown, P.E.I. – An 87-year-old man has died in a house fire in Charlottetown, P.E.I.

Police and firefighters responded to a call at about 8:30 a.m. today about a fire on Andrews Court.

Firefighters removed Louis Doyle from the home, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.

His son, 44-year-old Tony Doyle, was able to escape the burning home.

Charlottetown police have ruled out foul play.
