Man injured at B.C. Hydro substation

April 1, 2016, Armstrong, B.C. - A man has been rushed to hospital in the Okanagan after being severely injured last night inside the compound of a B.C. Hydro substation.

Hydro did not have specifics on the man's condition but says he somehow got inside the fencing at the Armstrong-area sub-station and contacted the electricity.

Armstrong firefighters were called to put out the resulting fire but power was knocked out to about eight-thousand homes in Armstrong, Enderby and Vernon.

Electricity was restored shortly after midnight.
