Mayor to intervene in union, administration dispute

Marie mayor Christian Provenzano says he will become more involved in the ongoing feud between city administration and the union representing Sault Ste. Marie firefighters. Provenzano made the statement immediately prior to council voting on a motion seeking to have city staff report on the feasibility and cost of initiating a comprehensive risk assessment in 2017 — a full year earlier than planned.
