New command structure proving effective, says chief

March 27, 2013, Vernon, B.C. – Vernon’s fire chief insists a new command structure has proven beneficial for the community. The city ended its contract with the Okanagan Landing Volunteer Firefighters Association earlier this year and has since administered the former Landing volunteer firefighters out of the downtown fire hall.
