March 29, 2021 — FLIR System’s first non-contact high voltage detector is now available.
Extech DV690’s wide reception range provides early warning alerts of energized electrical components for utility line workers, telecommunications installers, first responders, search and rescue teams, and tree removal services.
The detector features five flexible mounting options, a bright LED alarm, and a buzzer to users of the presence of dangerous voltage. It is also equipped with protection from dust intrusion and water spray, helping it perform reliably in harsh conditions.
The complete DV690 kit includes a hard-carrying case, safety break-away lanyard, arm strap, water resistant pouch, universal hot stick adapter, and 3 x AA batteries.
