New station boasts training facilities and more storage
July 25, 2011, Glencoe, Ont. – A new fire station in the village of Glencoe, Ont., is set to improve fire protection services for the residents of Southwest Middlesex. On July 16, (left to right) Fire Chief Raymond Dodman, MP Bev Shipley, Mayor Doug Reycraft, MPP Maria Van Bommel, Warden Joanne Vanderheyden and Deputy Chief Rob Cole were on hand to cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the new station, which features more equipment storage, enhanced ventilation, in-house training facilities and number of energy-saving technologies, such as geothermal heating and a water recycling system.
