New Toronto fire chief won’t rule out EMS merger
Aug. 24, 2012, Toronto – In his first public appearance since taking the reins of the largest fire service in the country three-and-a-half days ago, Toronto Fire Chief Jim Sales said he is not opposed to anything that improves service to Torontonians and cuts costs, including the potential merger of Toronto’s fire and emergency medical service departments.
