New training centre to open in Waterloo Region

Nov. 11, 2016, Waterloo, Ont. - Waterloo Region will soon be home to an Ontario Fire College regional training centre, offering firefighters from the seven local municipalities the opportunity to upgrade their skills at home. "The collaboration between fire departments, part time and full time, having firefighters training together and learning together, we should grow as a region and enhance our ability to work together and provide fire services," Waterloo Fire Chief Richard Hepditch said Thursday.
