Newfoundland fire index low
Aug. 6, 2008, Corner Brook, N.L. - Ivan Downton says the recent rains and cooler temperatures have
helped push the forest fire indexes in the province toward “low.” As the Corner Brook Western Star reports, the
provincial forest fire duty officer said as of Tuesday there were two fires
burning in Labrador, but there’s little smoke, and with rain expected to
