Fire chiefs press Ottawa for detailed emergency response plans
Detailed emergency response plans for all flammable liquids – not just crude oil – would better prepare first responders to deal with dangerous accidents in their communities, the Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs (CAFC) said Monday after representatives from the CAFC met with members of the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and the rail industry in Ottawa to discuss rail safety issues.
