No working smoke detectors found above store fire

April 23, 2013, Montreal – When firefighters arrived at a fire in the Plateau Mont Royal Monday night, they were alarmed to discover that none of the smoke detectors were going off in the rooms above the business where the fire was burning. The Montreal Gazette reports.
