Northern Ontario highway closed due to fire

Nov. 27, 2012, Barrie, Ont. – Provincial police have closed a portion of Highway 11 north of Barrie due to a fire.

Fire crews are on the scene of a blaze at The Hitch House – a motorhome dealer and service centre – on Highway 11.

The main building is said to be fully engulfed and black smoke is billowing into the air and can be seen from Barrie.

Highway 11 northbound is closed at Highway 93 and southbound at Oro Line 3 for an undetermined period of time.
