Officials investigate complaint that fire escape was chained

Aug. 28, 2012, Calgary – The fire department is investigating whether a fire escape was chained closed at the Shamrock Hotel after flames and intense smoke forced the evacuation of the historic building this morning. The Calgary Herald reports.
