Officials investigate St. John’s barn fire

The Royal Newfoundland Constabulary says a fire that broke out around 10:35 p.m. Monday destroyed a building located in the area of the Ruby Line.
Seven horses and three goats perished in the blaze.
Earlier Monday a fire destroyed another livestock barn, but all of the animals were saved.
Police say they don't know yet what caused the fires or whether they are related.

The barns were located in a section of the city known as the Goulds.
