One person injured in explosion, fire at potato storage facility

Mounties say it happened Wednesday afternoon northeast of Coaldale.

Police say it's believed the result of a chemical treatment on some product inside of a barn that ignited.

RCMP say the person was taken to hospital in Lethbridge with non life-threatening burn injuries.

Occupational Health and Safety is investigating.

The fire spread to six Quonset huts and damage is estimated in the millions of dollars.
