Ormocto firefighters battle two Boxing Day blazes

Early Monday morning, officers responded to fire at a residence on Erica Circle in Oromocto.

About 20 firefighters were on hand to fight the blaze, which police say started in the home's chimney.

The attic was extensively damaged and there was smoke damage throughout the rest of the home.

A police report says no one was in the house at the time of the fire.

Later in the morning, about 12 firefighters responded to another fire on Warren Road in Gagetown, but no other information was available.
