Ottawa firefighters recommend new stations

June 12, 2015, Ottawa - Ottawa firefighters are recommending opening a new station in Kanata North and consolidating two stations into a new one along the Cyrville corridor. The station location recommendations, presented by fire chief Gerry Pingitore at a technical briefing Thursday, say growth in Kanata North is spurring the need for the new station there.
