Pelican releases two new remote lighting systems

Feb. 20, 2013 – Pelican Products Inc. has released two new remote area lighting systems – the 9460RS RALS and the 9470RS RALS. Users can control the run time and intensity of the light with a key chain remote control from as far away as 18.3 metres (60 feet). The devices are multi-terrain versions of the company's previous line of remote lighting systems and provide an ecologically responsible alternative to wasteful generator-powered lights. The 9460RS RALS features two swivelling telescope masts, which each extend to nearly two metres (six feet). It is powered by LED lights that radiate to up to 6,000 lumens and offers up to seven hours of peak brightness. The 9470RS RALS, meanwhile, features 24 LED lights mounted on four 1.8-metre (six-foot) towers. Each head is powered by a 12-volt rechargeable batter, offering a peak output of 12,000 lumens.
