Sept. 13, 2012, Calgary – Police are investigating what they call the suspicious death of a man who was pulled from a rooming-house fire in Calgary.

Firefighters were called to the two-storey, central-area home Wednesday evening and were told on the way that people were trapped on the roof.

Upon arrival, they found three men on top of the house calling for help as thick smoke poured from both levels and flames tore through a room on the main floor.

The men were rescued while a fourth man believed to be in his 20s was found unconscious in an upstairs bedroom and died later in hospital.
