Port Williams chief quits over safety concerns
June 23, 2015, Port Williams, N.S. - A dispute between the Village of Port Williams and its former fire chief over the safety of members' gear appears to be burning out. Lionel Rhynard, who served as chief for about a year, said Monday he could not remain in his job because the turnout — personal protective — gear provided to his volunteer firefighters was inadequate.
