All 106-clients had to be evacuated on Monday when a heater caused the aging building's sprinkler system to go off. There were fears flooding would compromise the electrical system.
CEO Nancy Clarke says she received written permission from the provincial fire marshal on Wednesday to let people back inside the Riverton, N.S., facility.
Residents housed at fire halls in nearby Eureka, N.S., and Plymouth, N.S., have been taken back to the facility. Those staying at the fire hall in Stellarton, N.S., as well as in family homes are waiting for further clean up to be done and hope they can move back by Friday. (CKEC)
