Aug. 25, 2020, Yellowknife — The City of Yellowknife is proposing to stop sending staff to fight fires up the Ingraham Trail, outside of city limits, starting April 1. In a governance and priorities committee meeting Monday, city staff presented a new “level of service” plan that would drop fire calls up the trail, except in cases that pose a wildfire threat.
