St. John’s crews tackle suspicious blaze at recycling depot

Oct. 22, 2021, St. John’s – Firefighters made quick work of a suspicious fire at a St. John’s recycling facility Friday morning. The fire was reported by a passerby and when firefighters arrived at Evergreen Recycling on Blackmarsh Road at about 5:30 a.m., they found a pile of wooden pallets and debris on fire next to a rear section of the building.
