Nov. 25, 2009 - The Edson Fire Department in Alberta under chief Alan Schram took delivery in June of a SVI Trucks-built heavy rescue truck. Built on a Spartan Metrostar chassis, this rescue unit is powered by a Cummins ISL 400-hp engine and an Allison 3000 EVS transmission and is equipped with an Onan 10kW Hydraulic Generator, KL450 Command Light, a portable winch with receivers on all sides and custom one-way visibility window film on rear cab windows.
