Dec. 4, 2012, Shediac Cape, N.B. – RCMP say they are investigating a suspicious house fire in Shediac, N.B.
Police say the blaze broke out at the home on Bellevue Street around 5:30 a.m. today.
Three people in the home were able to make it to safety after one of the residents was awakened by the sound of crackling wood.
Police say the sound which came from the rear of the home also awoke the other two occupants.

Investigators say the fire is believed to have started on the back porch.
The house was heavily damaged.
