Toronto Fire Services officially opens new fire station in Downsview Park

July 11, 2022, Toronto – Today marked the official opening of Toronto’s newest fire station, Fire Station 144, at 2945 Keele St. in Downsview Park.
Toronto Fire Chief Matthew Pegg, Mayor John Tory and councillor James Pasternak (York Centre) attended the opening of the new station. It was designed by Thomas Brown Architects Inc. as an efficient and environmentally conscious emergency services facility that allows for natural light, uses robust materials for longer service life and includes a green roof.
Located in the southwest corner of Downsview Park and strategically located in close proximity to more than 1,000 new homes.
This is the 84th Toronto fire station in the city. In addition to being operational, this station will house Toronto Fire Services’ Fire Investigations team.
