Police say officers were called to Highway 105 near the Seal Island Bridge around 1:45 p.m. Saturday after reports of a single-vehicle crash.
The Mounties say the truck was travelling east when the driver lost control, crashed through a guard rail and ended up on its side in a lake.
The driver escaped the vehicle on her own and was taken to a hospital in Sydney with minor injuries.
Police say the Environment Department and fire officials were called to the scene and measures are in place to contain any fuel leaking from the truck.
The transport truck was not carrying dangerous goods.
