Two dead in cabin fire
Jan. 8, 2007, Howley Junction, N.L. - Two people including a young child are dead following a fire at a cabin near the Howley Junction on the west coast of Newfoundland.

RCMP say a three-year-old girl and a 32-year-old man, both from nearby Deer Lake, were found dead at the scene Sunday night.
Cpl. Rob Doyle says the girl's mother, 24, and her young son managed to get out safely.
The cabin was completely destroyed.
Doyle says officials are at the scene today trying to determine the cause, but foul play is not suspected.(VOCM)
