Woman dies after car swerves into Cape Breton pond

May 27, 2013, Reserve Mines, N.S. – Police in Cape Breton have identified the young woman who died on the weekend when the car she was in swerved into a pond and sank.
Cape Breton Regional Police say 19-year-old Miranda Musgrave of Glace Bay was trapped in the vehicle when it left Lorway Street in Reserve Mines and plunged into the water.
Police were called to the scene at 12:45 a.m. on Saturday.
Two of the automobile's occupants, a 25-year-old male and 19-year-old female, escaped the vehicle.
But Musgrave couldn't get out.
Firefighters from Reserve Mines and Glace Bay were unable to revive her.
