Woman rescued from five-storey fall down cliff
Dec. 8, 2014, St. John's, N.L. - A rescue was complicated by the darkness and bone-chilling winds last night in St. John's as a 26-year-old woman was brought to safety after she slipped off the trail on Signal Hill.
Superintendent Derrick Chafe says the woman had to be lifted from the Queen's Battery by a rescue team of the St. John's Regional Fire Department.
She was on the North Head Trail taking pictures around 10 p.m.
Chafe says the woman was lucky to have escaped with only minor injuries after falling five or six storeys.
