Firefighters in Caldeon, Ont., were called Wednesday morning to hopper fire in a wood mill factory, with heavy smoke and a working fire on arrival. Multiple stations were assigned with a mutual-aid aerial truck from Brampton. Firefighters removed wall components at the rear of the building to extinguish the fire. The initial alarm was upgraded after the fire spread into the building above the sprinkler system. All Caledon stations were committed and the emergency fire services plan was activated, with Caledon being covered by Brampton, Erin, Orangeville, Adjala-Tos and King. There were no injuries.
