June 27, 2013, St. Felix, P.E.I. – RCMP in P.E.I. say two bodies found inside a burning Jeep last week were those of a mother and her four-year-old son.
The Mounties have identified the child as Nash David Campbell of Stratford.
Police named his 38-year-old mother, Patricia Lynn Hennessey, as the other victim last week.
Their bodies were discovered last Friday when firefighters responded to a report of a Jeep on fire on Martin Road near St. Felix.
Sgt. Andrew Blackadar says police are trying to determine whether the fire was accidental or deliberately set.
He says the Mounties are working with the provincial coroner's office and the medical examiner's office in Nova Scotia to determine the causes of death.
