Fire hits pizza store near Chatham, Ont

Feb. 18, 2008, Chatham, Ont. - A pizza restaurant in Wallaceburg, Ont., was damaged by an early morning fire on Sunday.

Firefighters were called to Buck Pizza just after 2:30 a.m. Sunday.

Officials peg the damage at $200,000.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

In a separate incident, an overheated extension cord is blamed for causing a fire at an apartment Saturday night in Chatham.

Damage in that blaze is estimated at $100,000.
