Emergency crews were called out to the Mull Road Farm between Blenheim and Ridgetown around 8:15 p.m. Saturday.

They say a supply line ruptured during a farming accident, causing about a tonne of anhydrous ammonia to spew into the air.

No evacuation was required.

The Ministry of the Environment was contacted following the spill.
