Proposed deal sees firefighters answer fewer medical calls

April 11, 2013, Northumberland, Ont. – Fire departments in the Northumberland County would no longer respond to all medical calls, but only serious ones like heart attacks, and where ambulances could not reach the victims within 20 minutes, if new agreements are put in place between the county's ambulance operations and individual municipalities in Northumberland. Northumberland Today reports.
