Repairs to fire hall will cost millions: engineer
Mar. 4, 2016, Welland, Ont. - The exterior walls of Welland’s King Street Fire Hall are cracking and shifting, and the steel lintels that hold the masonry structure together are corroded. The city is spending $82,300 just to keep the condition of the building from further deterioration. Long-term repairs could cost millions, city engineer Sal Iannello said.
