Suspicious fire damages two vehicles in Montreal

May 5, 2022, Montreal – Two cars were heavily damaged early Thursday after a fire deemed “suspicious” by Montreal police broke out in Dollard-des-Ormeaux.

Around 2 a.m., multiple calls were received at the 911 emergency centre reporting a car on fire in a private driveway on Malard St. near Alouette St. The flames had spread to a second vehicle.

After the fire was extinguished, the vehicles were towed away for further analysis and the investigation of the incident has been assigned to the arson squad.

No injuries or arrests were reported.
