Teen facing arson charges in connection with Elks Lodge blaze
Jan. 30, 2018, Leslieville, Alta. - A 17-year-old boy has charged with arson after a blaze late last year that destroyed a service club building in a small west-central Alberta community.

The Elks Lodge was engulfed in flame when firefighters arrived at the scene in the hamlet of Leslieville on Dec. 29.
Crews had to contend with bitter cold and frozen water hoses, but no one was hurt.
The RCMP launched an investigation after the cause of the fire was determined to be arson.
The teen, who is from Clearwater County, was arrested Jan. 25 by Rocky Mountain House Mounties.
The boy, whose name can’t be revealed under the Youth Criminal Justice Act, was to appear in court today for a bail hearing.
Leslieville suffered a double hit when about $600 dollars that had been raised to help rebuild the facility was stolen earlier this month.
The owners of a local cafe had been organizing a benefit and silent auction to raise cash, but they discovered the money they already had in hand was taken during a break-in.
