Waterous appoints new president and CEO as current leader retires

Dan Reese will succeed Bill Smith as the new president and CEO of Waterous.

Dec. 15, 2020, South Saint Paul, Minn. — Bill Smith, president and CEO of Waterous, is retiring Jan. 1, 2021. Current vice-president of operations, Dan Reese, will succeed Smith as president and CEO.

Smith started his career at Waterous in June, 1997 as director of manufacturing and became president and CEO in November 2009. Smith said in a news release: “I would like to thank everyone one in the industry who helped Waterous grow to the successful company that we are today.”

Previously, Reese was the president of a division of Holmatro, general manager of Alexis Fire Equipment and vice president/general manager of Akron Brass and Weldon Technologies.

Reese said in a press statement: “I would like to thank Bill for his dedication to Waterous and leading the growth in our company. I will do my best to continue growing Waterous and leading us into the future.”
