Blaze forces dozens from their homes

July 22, 2015, Montreal - A few dozen people were driven from their apartments late Tuesday after a fire started on the ground floor of a residential building in Villeray.

The fire started shortly after 11:30 p.m. in the building on Jean Talon St. near the intersection of Christophe Colomb St.

The occupants of two buildings, the one where the fire took place and the one next to it, were evacuated due to the blaze.

One person was brought to hospital, but the other tenants were able to return home hours after they were forced out.

The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
