Train carrying dangerous goods derails
Carseland, Alta. - Seven cars of a Canadian Pacific Railway train has derailed in southern Alberta.
It happened west of Carseland around 2:15 p.m. Thursday.
CPRl spokesperson Salem Woodrow said the cars were carrying a fertilizer product.
She said the product is considered a dangerous good, but the fire department was on scene as well as CPR's own safety officials.
Transportation Safety Board spokesman John Cottreau said there were no leaks and no injuries.
Carseland is about 65 kilometres southeast of Calgary.
