Barn fire kills 1,500 pigs in southern Ontario
Sept. 27, 2010, Lambton Shores, Ont. - An early morning farm fire in southern Ontario has killed nearly 1,500 pigs and caused almost $1 million in damage.

Provincial police say fire officials were called to a barn fire at 3:30 a.m. in Lambton Shores.
The barn was fully engulfed when firefighters arrived on scene.
Farm equipment and about 300 pigs were removed before the fire took hold.
No foul play is suspected.
