Body found after Saskatoon house fire

Saskatoon - A body has been found inside a Saskatoon home that was struck by fire.

Emergency crews were called to the scene around 5:30 a.m. Wednesday after getting word from a passerby about flames and smoke coming from the roof of the house.

The fire was concentrated in the kitchen and dining areas, but the flames were brought under control within eight minutes.

The body was found in the kitchen while firefighters were searching the home.

The victim's name has not been released.

No one else was in the house at the time.
