I first met John in 1979, when we both started Junior High school at Lansdowne in Victoria BC… Instant awareness, admiration and an evolving respect and appreciation for each other we both derived and added to with time, right up to our last meeting in 2019 when I drove past the Colwood Fire Hall and thought: Let’s stop in and see if he’s around…

Joy: Followed with a full catchup of ourselves, families, old and mutual friends, a full tour of a modern, spotlessly clean fire station and a site museum tour to cap it… We were going to have a BBQ together sometime this summer; I really know the steaks will be Heavenly when it happens… Love forever, Bro!
