Eight dead, 24 missing in L’Isle-Verte

residence in eastern Quebec.

Thursday's blaze destroyed the residence in L'Isle-Verte, about 240 kilometres northeast of Quebec City.
Police and a coroner's official gave the update at a news conference this morning.
The last numbers given out by authorities were eight dead and about 30 missing.
The coroner's spokesperson says two of the victims have been formally identified and that their names will be released later
today.
