Fire departments say volunteers heading west for work

April 15, 2013, New Victoria, N.S. – Volunteer fire departments heading into their busiest time of the year with grass fire season are seeing holes burned into their membership because volunteer firefighters have had to leave for work in Western Canada. The Cape Breton Post reports.
