Fire ravages Yorkton apartment block

Flames and thick smoke could be seen from several areas of the city’s downtown when the fire broke out last night.

Several residents fled the building, but it’s not immediately known if anyone was hurt.

The block was once used as a hospital.

Fire crews were still pouring water on the building and watching for flare-ups early this morning.

The investigation into the cause of the blaze won’t begin until all hot spots are extinguished.
