Twenty-four firefighters who died in the line of duty or whose deaths were deemed to be work related were remembered in a ceremony at Queen’s Park on Sunday.

Oct. 3, 2011, Toronto – Mary-Ann Stojkiewicz began weeping after she
found her brother Joseph’s name on the granite memorial at Queen’s Park.
His name was among the list of 24 firefighters who died in the line of
duty this year remembered by fellow comrades and loved ones in a
