Girl’s remains found in rubble from Saskatchewan house fire

Sept. 26, 2013, Pelican Narrows, Sask. – Mounties say the remains of a 10-year-old girl have been found in the rubble of a burned home in northeastern Saskatchewan.

The fire broke out early Tuesday in the remote community of Pelican Narrows.

RCMP say the child's great-grandparents managed to escape and believed she had made it outside as well.

Her remains have been transported to Saskatoon for an autopsy.

The child's name has not been released.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
